SolveStream was a marketplace that paired students with experts over live video. A student uploaded a question with a title, a category and an attached image or PDF; it appeared in the feed, an expert picked it up, and the two met in a browser video call with real-time chat and file sharing. Sessions were booked and paid inside the app, and content moderation kept the feed clean.
I founded it in June 2024 and built all of it: the TypeScript and Node server, PostgreSQL, WebRTC peer-to-peer video with a signaling server I wrote myself, and the question, feed, call and file-sharing flows in the front end. I paused it in May 2025, IB finals season, at 500 registered users.
